Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM), conduct  Training Programme
Eligibility :a) A Graduate of a recognized University; or, Holder of three year Degree in Tourism/Hospitality; or, Diploma in Archaeology from an Institute recognized by UGC, Association of Indian Universities (AIU), AICTE or any other State / Central Government body.b) Fluency in English language is essential. Candidate should have studied English as a subject at 10 plus 2 levels.General Linguistic:(a) (i) A Graduate of a recognized University or (ii) Holder of three year Degree in Tourism / Hospitality or iii) Diploma in Archaeology from an Institute recognized by UGC,Association of Indian Universities (AIU), AICTE or any other State / Central Government body.(b) Candidates should have knowledge and fluency in a foreign language (apart from English). The fluency shall be tested at the time of written examination which shall be given in the foreign language selected by the Candidate for which he / she aspires to become a linguistic guide.
Number of seats assessed in different regions for training and licensing is as follows:
Northern Region (Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab,Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Union Territory of Chandigarh) 180
Southern Region (Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Union Territories of Pondicherry and Lakshadweep) 25
Western & Central Region (Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Goa and Union territories of Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu ) 32
Eastern Region (States of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands) 15
North-Eastern Region (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura) 25

Programmes are proposed to be offered at following venues:Eastern and North Eastern regions IITTM Bhubaneswar,Southern region IITTM Nellore, Northern and Western & Central regions IITTM Gwalior and IITTM Delhi
Age as on January 06, 2013 : 20 yrs .
Fees:The training is supported by Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. However, candidates shall have to pay a training fee of Rs. 25,000/-.
Application Fee: Demand draft of Rs. 500 drawn in favour of Director-IITTM, payable at Gwalior
How to apply
Applications complete in all respect shall reach Chairman (Admissions) IITTM, Govindpuri, Gwalior along with a demand draft of Rs. 500 drawn in favour of Director-IITTM, payable at Gwalior latest by February 18th ,2013 .
